Mark 12:1-12

This sermon, rooted in the urgent book of Mark, unpacks Jesus's powerful parable of the vineyard. The main point is clear: the enemy, Satan, along with the self-serving religious leaders, may think they have the upper hand, but ultimately, God will have the victory! God's people belong to Him, but sin wants to enslave them. Just as the tenants in the parable mistreated and killed the landowner's servants, sin seeks to blind and consume us, leading us further away from God. What the enemy meant for evil, God uses for salvation. The religious leaders believed killing Jesus, the beloved Son, would secure their power. However, His death and glorious resurrection were God's ultimate plan to conquer sin and death, offering salvation to all who believe. God will destroy Satan and build on the Cornerstone. Jesus, the rejected stone, has become the cornerstone of God's Church. God will return to fully claim His people, defeat all His enemies, and establish His eternal kingdom. We are called to live like Christ, proclaiming the Gospel, even in the face of opposition, knowing that God's victory is assured!
